 Maxwell Tree
Expert Co., Inc. was founded in 1957 by Lester and Joan Maxwell.
Through their perseverance the company grew. At its one truck infancy,
the ground crew for Les
was often a one day worker picked up that morning at the rescue
mission. Les’s love for trees showed through to the clients and
referrals started building a business that needed a more stable
workforce and more vehicles. After many years of learning new
techniques by a trial and error method, Les and Joan joined the
National Arborist Association. With the help of other association
members from around the country, they formed our set of standards for
outstanding tree care that separates us from the others.
We are now in our third generation of Maxwells involved in the care of trees and the rest of the green based environment that surrounds us all. The first generation, Lester Maxwell, Senior, started a company by that name in 1935 in Garden City, New York. Even thought it closed at the onset of WWII, it set in motion the foundation and belief systems of the current company. No task was too great a challenge, as evidenced in the accompanying photos. Today we hold to that same belief, and support it with a business sense that will guide us well into the next millennium.
With the foundation set, we continue today to raise the bar in services, training, and of course, in how better to serve you, our clients. Without you, we do not have a reason to exist. |
